This is all Unix 101 stuff, and your manuals should have a section it
somewhere. If not, they're either more specialized or advanced, or they're

a particularly bad transfer speed, but yeah they seem to be overloaded a
lot of the time. For something big, it may make more sense to try to find

first, etc. Fink is smart
enough to be able to grab everything it needs for you, but that does mean
it had to either already have or be able to download the source archives.
These are normally kept in /sw/src, not the ...finkinfo directory, and
almost all of them are big, compressed, tar.gz archive
#x27;s possible that the
command wasn't part of your current $PATH. Run the 'rehash' command to
refresh your path data, and you'll get past that problem (if in fact that
was the problem in the first place).
The password for sudo is your login password. Did you try using that?
