On the subject of saddles without dee rings, if you take an old pair of
jeans and sew or tie the ends off, you can use them as saddle bags, and
require little tying down, as the weight is on either side of the horse.

I have been reading the posts about saddle fit and I can relate to what
everyone goes through trying to fit their horse because I spent a lot of time
trying a lot of different saddles. I think some Fjords are quite a challenge.
