G, Unless you've already tried this . . . you said you uninstalled, but did you delete the old printer using Printer Setup Utility? Use print utility to delete the printer, then add a new printer and select the driver provided in Tiger. Worked for me after the upgrade install - the previous

That is actually another reason why I am leaning towards FastMac. If I could find a price on a PowerLogix upgrade for the Pismo I would be more sure, but the FastMac G4 550 seems to have a higher cache size and speed. Of course, with the PowerLogix 900 I wouldn't have to purchase the iChat hack

Tiger runs fine on a Lombard. Installing it is the trick, and requires a new world Mac. You can install it on an external disk connected to Mac with built-in firewire, or install it on Mac with built-in firewire and swap the drive into the Lombard. But after putting the drive into the

Put the RAM back where it was. It very likely doesn't like one of the modules in the 'wrong' slot. Also do alt-apple - O - F just after the BONG and when you get a DOS-like screen type 'reset-nvram' then hit return. Can also type 'reset-all' instead. Or, better still, throw the damn thing away.
