Hi everyone
Had some trouble with knockd and the current version of shorewall. My
problem was with 5.2 and Raspberry pi but likely applies to other
versions also
So here are the changes I made for /etc/knockd configuration.

logfile = /var/log/knockd.log
# example for opening
done, booting the kernel.
Can anyone spot anything obvious why I can't login?

I can’t get the p9100 package to print. It worked fine in 3.1. Here are some

Are there any pdf docs for Bering UclibC? It's much more convenient to
configure a box by going through a paper

syslinx.com (3.31) from a dos floppy to put the system on the cf.
If I try to boot from the cf the system just hangs and doesn't get to
the 'SYSLINUX...' line. I'd be grateful for any ideas, please!

Did you read the dnsmasq documentation in the Bering-uClibc section:

I think the problem is that the provider's DNS servers are not passed to
dnsmasq (read the section Using dnsmasq with dhcpcd).

My Bering installs have always been pretty much out of the box as far as
Shorewall rules. I really doubt your basic setup is in conflict with
them. The first place I would look is at ip addressing. Are you using
the firewall as a dhcp server? In the past this was a default. Now I

As with Dachstein, except for the module declarations in /etc/modules, I've
gone for the default
settings. It can't be a hardware problem, as I can run Dachstein on the same
hardware.
Have I missed any 'gotchas'?

servers would help me understand some of the
ipsec.conf nuances that might be confounding me. I think I'll try that
after I try my configuration with a standard Bering distribution.

to malloc 0 bytes for cert. The few
previous lines mentioned loading the cacert file and the crl file. There is
nothing in the process list about pluto, so I think it's dead.
Anybody got any suggestions?
