and a 192.168.42.0 network. eth0 is on the 10 network, and eth1 is on the
192 network. I have static routes configured on two workstations, each
attached to one of the two networks. I am able to ping eth0 from the

gnome or kde or anything to come up. i type "kde" and all i get is a

xsis.tgz is in DOS
tried:

I understand the TCP/IP requirements and setup of it.
So far Linux-mandrake has installed perfectly as a server, I have set the
network card up and can ping the server from workstations, I even managed to
work out how to mount the CDROM !

I recently battled for two weeks to get my kppp going after upgrading from
mandrake 5.3 to mandrake 6.0. I ended up re-installing 5.3, and had a good
connection about 2 minutes later. Appears that there's a problem with
version 6.0. Try upgrading to ver 6.1 .
