Hi,
No doubt. Usually if you have no bottleneck limitations, when you up the
MGHz with the same architecture you get better speed of program
execution. AMD apparently has better architecture and they are planning
to introduce products working at higher speed. They were planning to
move to copper
Hi,
I have LM 8.0 on my machine together with Bill's NT4.0. I wanted to do a
clean install of LM 8.1 because I had problems with LM 8.0. I had no
success. I outline the steps of the attempted hard disk install below.
Can someone please tell me where I goofed?

Hi Andrew,
I tried to do as you say but it did not work for me. I think the
Mandrake web site says you need a username and a password to update from
any of the ftp sites. Don't you have to have a username and password for
the ftp site you choose to update from? I gave anonymous as username

Hi,
Through my efforts to find a way around the problem, I tried to
re-install mdk 8.0 several times. The last time I re-installed mdk linux

Hi,
Because of the resolver problem and other problems, I have decided to
try version 7.2 instead of 8.0.
I have D*S and W*ndo*s NT4.0 installed on the machine. I need to keep
those UNFORTUNATELY :( I am going to take the following two steps to
uninstall
mdk 8.0 and install mdk 7.2 instead:

fine until I rebooted the system. On rebooting, the DNS setting reverted
back to the old incorrect setting I gave on initial install. How do I
make the system

I tried editing the file /etc/resolv.conf manually but the result was
exactly the same as when Linuxconf did it. What could be the problem?
