I really don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. If it's a single pipe, that'll do, if there's more than one 7206 on your end, you'll need two nics with snort active on both, or a hub'd setup. Unless you're looking at over 40Mb/s sustained, I really don't like running snort on two interface

I think Feargal is correct in saying that the 2nd processor was added after NT was installed. NT is using a single processor kernal and needs to be upgraded to the multiprocessor kernal. You can use uptomp.exe (resource kit utility), but I hear that is very unreliable. The other option is to reins
