Just don't compress the data more than once. If hdwe compression is
going to happen, don't let it be passed thru a s/w compression stage.
Double compression isn't twice as dense or good. It probably will
explode to more than you started with.

We have Luminex vtape. The Luminex code provides tape support emulating
IBM 3590 drives with the actual hardware being on Sun dasd. Everything
seems to work with the exception of SPXTAPE. Does anyone else have

one error message, when a filespace (other
than the root) gets mounted, the mount point directory must already
exist. (Should typically be empty.)
And, of course, all this stuff is CaSe SeNsItIvE.

I'm doing a FC BENCHMARK for some userid that we are going to do some
changes to. Is there a way of keeping more than 3 generations of the
history files? Can that be specified or controlled someway in FCONX
$PROFILE?

configured some as XSTORE and MDC took it all. I wish I could claim

It smells pretty good to me--within 15 miles of my 8 g'kids, dogwoods
starting to bloom and daffodils out in full force. Also, there's no
smell of snow in the air.
