As far as I know, the Apple Mail app does not in itself have any option to do read receipts either individually or for all mail but I could be wrong. The one I did could be turned on or off as I recall but it's been a long time. -- Cheryl I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf. I got crumpl

Tested and modified in MacOS 10.9 Mavericks: September 2 2014 This still works but you have to do all the steps before you can test it. Also be aware that it is possible for the return receipt request to be seen before the actual email, at least when testing it on myself. I've only tested it on

Actually, this is only partly correct. You can write whatever you want to write in the email that is presented for you to fill in. You can also have different return receipt protocols for different email addresses though i haven't tried to do this. No, it may not be as good as a built-in system

Hmmm, on my computer running Mavericks, doing cmd-shift-delete doesn't seem to send one message directly to the trash. Instead it brings up a dialog asking me if I want to delete all items in trash and it says something about doing that in all accounts. Maybe I'm missing something about how and

What Ann says is exactly right. If you don't have extra new line characters in what you are reading, the pauses between sentences should be no more than you would hear in normal speech and shouldn't be annoying. But no matter how fast you set the speed, the new line characters are going to cause
