lilo.conf and add the lines pointing to the second copy (don't forget to rerun lilo). Then reboot and select the second install and it should come up.

1. Install Mandrake 9.1 and then when you have to configure the disk
partition , make sure there are enough free space for your second
Mandrake 9.1 instalation.
2. Choose lilo as the bootloader, and place it on the MBR (master boot

If your kernel is compiled with NTFS read support, then 'yes'. If you go to

I am having difficulty trying to setup dual booting using Boot magic with
WIN95/LINUX. My boot floppy boots fine into LINUX Mandrake 7.0, but I would
like to not have to fumble around with a boot floppy disk.
Now for the story...I used partition magic 5.0 to setup my partition for
LIN
boot to a dos floppy (win9x startup disk) give command sys c: reboot

Ha! I did this the other day... :)
Here is what I had to to to fix it.
1. I grabbed my linux boot floppy made during the install and made sure it
worked.
2. I grabbed my Windoze boot floppy made during the install and made sure it
worked.
3. ran lilo -u -U /dev/hda
4. ran lilo -u -U /dev/hd
OK... I just installed a new hard drive in my machine. Now Linux gets it's
own drive! :-) Anyway, I have Windoze on the Primary master (/dev/hda).
Linux is on the secondary master (/dev/hdc). The problem is, I installed
LILO in the master boot record on /dev/hda. It will boot Linux but not
Windoze
i have a problem. i installed Mandrake 6.1 on
my machine. before i was able to choose between linux or dos to boot my
machine. i have windows on one hard drive and linux on the other. i
have not had any problems until i used the auto update on Mandrake. Now I can
not boot dos (windows)
