it out myself with devfs enabled just like you have.
I found that with devfs enabled it will automatically set up /dev/cdrom to

using the new 2.4.13 kernel anyhow this camera has an inbuild micro wich is
loaded as module audio .
Now my original soundcard (es1371) and the webcam (audio) both use the module
soundcore with xmms i can configure the oss output
RPM's may not be perfect, but when you install a new app on winders
the chance is it will overwrite an existing DLL and screw something
else. You pays your money (or not in the case of Linux) and takes
your choice.
