Day to day IMAP operations have been solid barring minor glitches. This

Well, here I am, using Mulberry while feeling the same way some time
ago.
Anyway kudo's to your statement. I loved it, in a way feeling that
IMAP may be suffering in a similar way. :)

cautious comparing the two. They work so differently.
I'd sooner compare TB!'s bandwidth use to ThunderBird or Becky!. At
least they have a similar style once TB! is set to not do full synchro.

B!'s folders you'll see that you can vary
how you synchronize. Which of those do you use? Does Outlook give you
those options? If you do full message syncs, then that's the most
bandwidth intensive of the lot. TB! will do a lot of data transfers
and will be sluggish to respond
