Hide Deleted
Messages.

I'm assuming Evolution is looking at the permissions on the signature
file itself (or the directory it's in?). I don't think it's Evolution
itself that is telling you you don't have permissions. Check the file
permissions. Perhaps you moved or created the file as root?

Alright, I decided to install some Texstar RPM's last night and some said
they needed the latest RPM's from the KDE3 CVS - so, I figured, what the
heck, why not install them? So, silly me, I decided to install *some* of
the RPM's from KDE
Whenever you find ./configure stops saying it needs a file just open Mandrake
Software Manager and search for an rpm of that name. If one is not found then
press the 'search by file' button and search again. Once you have found the
correct RPM install the '-devel' version of that RPM. The deve
ok i got gcc installed, now it wants setupterm or
tgetnet, and it says it can't find it, i did some
searching on google for setupterm and it said it was
in libtermcap, and its already installed, but cant
find it, where can i find it?

You only need gcc and it is on your Mandrake discs. Just open Mandrake
software Manager and seach for it.
In 8.2 two versions of gcc are supplied 2.96 and 3.0
2.96 is the one your system is compiled with, so you should generally use
that one.

I use Claws now. But IIRC, that is covered in Evolutions helpYou must first
import your PST file(s) into a program that utilizes the mbox format. From there you
can import the mbox files directly into Evolution, under file > import.

I basically did as Ed said, & tried to fiddle in the install with the
settings. Seems to have helped. That and the Nvidia drivers may have

terms sounds correct enough to me... some folks might call them ttys or vty
or "text console". I likie console... have you tried starting at run level
three and correcting the xconfig?

Maybe I didn't make myself clear in my original email. I can ping both the
local and remote IP address as reported by Kppp but thats it.

Check this:
In /etc/sysconfig/network
The line for GATEWAYDEV=eth0
Comment it out to this:
#GATEWAYDEV=eth0
If that doesn't work, we may need to adjust your /etc/resolv.conf
to something like this:
domain yourispname.com
search yourlocalLANname
If that doesn't do it, get back to the list

company using Mandrake-Linux 8.0 on a Pentium II 233 with considerable
