Are you trying to boot a OS disk or just a regular disk in general keeping it from booting? If you're trying to boot an OS disk you need to use a 10.2-10.5, 10.5 is the best as it provides the most usability and it runs well on a G5. Also, to boot from a disk you need to hold down the C key, and
