you click on the /mnt directory icon, kfm hangs (regardless of whether or not something has been mounted)? That was my problem... The solution posted on this list by Denis Havlik is to go into /etc/fstab and remove all "conv=auto" entries. I tried this and it worked for me! :) Lance
