I am new to Mandrake and I have installed 7.1 Deluxe ,I have had for about a year or less, on my laptop. The problem is I am trying to connect to the internet and I have a pmcia card with modem and ethernet on one (linksys). Linux see the modem and tries to connect to the
break dependencies:
ncurses is needed by libncurses5-5.2-12mdk
ncurses is needed by perl-Curses-1.05-2mdk
Any ideas to get mplayer installed successfully?

First I install Freeciv:

Now I want to uninstall it:

The system says it is not intalled, but It is really installed:
rpm -qa | grep freeciv

the kernel, but it had an easy workaround.

The little critters
to
install any rpm from the mandrake CD, with an i586 extention, it says that
the package is for a different architecture.
Any ideas what I can do?
(i386 files install fine)

3 ... so i issue the shutdown command, which
takes it to runleve1 (single user) ...then i have to issue poweroff...
is this due to my AT board?...
can all of this be automated? .. are there any keyboard shortcuts... etc?
