This could be the fastest solution: Keep 18/16 or 9/8 as the meter

recall a Dave Bruebeck tune that went 2-2-2-3, 2-2-2-3, 2-2-2-3,
3-3-3. Anyone remember the title? Anyone have the notation? What time
signature does he use?

You can adjust staff size in Layout/Resize System and Resize Page to
get things to look right in Page View. You can get to the same dialog
box by using the % Tool if you click at the left between staves of a

in a way to cause the default to be able to be its opposite. Is there?
Dear Richard,
Enter the default bracket, then simply drag the right handle over to
the left, and reposition the bracket with the middle handle.

In Speedy Entry, put the cursor on the eighth rest at the beginning
and enter a whole rest instead. When the dialog box appears, click
Keep moving the extra notes... Then delete the extra bar at the
beginning.
Good luck!

copy text expressions in the Mass Mover setup. After copying, show
both layers. If this works well enough, then remove the Flute 2

Good luck.

Hope this helps.

noticed, however, in Finale 2003 that in 2-note eighth groups
when the notes are on B, C, or D just below the staff in treble clef,
the beams are too low. I can't figure why this is the case. I've had
to adjust these groups. Maybe it's a bug.
Has anyone else noticed this?

and MIDI enhancements in 10.2.4 addressed the
problem.
Finale was developed on the Mac, and
was Mac-only during it's first few years, so it's great that Apple has
made strides to fix these compatibility problems.

Dear Shelley,
You need an audio digitizing program such as Sound Studio that will
convert the audio to AIFF files. Then you can load them into iTunes
or Toast for CD burning.
